Legendary (and cantankerous) photographer Arthur Meyerson had shot images for the zoo with the stipulation they couldn’t be altered, retouched, or even cropped. Luckily, a great headline worked around those restrictions. And while it seems dated now, this was actually conceived before there was a real movement to make no artificial anything commonplace. So, actually, this was pretty prescient at the time. Which is why it won a Gold, I guess.
